Story
Katti Kanta Rao (Allari Naresh) is the son of a suspended gunman (Dharmavarapu), who manages to get the posting of a police constable in the department by voluntarily retiring from service. Kanta Rao had a big responsibility not only to satisfy the wishes of his brothers-in-law of his two elder sisters, but also to perform the marriages of his two younger sisters. In order to maintain such a big family, Kanta Rao has no other option to play different tricks to earn money, out of the way. He writes an agreement with his father that he would not fall in love or marry a girl unless and until he fulfils all the above responsibilities. But deviating from the agreement, he falls in love and marries a girl called Rajyam (Kamna) but keeps it a secret. Due to some unexpected circumstances, Kanta Rao, reveals his relationship with Rajyam to his sub-inspector (Jeeva). The latter tries to find out the truth in it goes to their village and enquires from Rajyam’s father Ringu Ranga Rao (Kota Srinivasa Rao). However, Kanta Rao manages to reveal the truth to Ranga Rao and promises to remarry her with the blessings of his entire family. How he convinced his family and ensured the process goes on smoothly? Did he able to complete the marriages of his younger sisters? How he fulfilled all the wishes of his brothers-in-law? Answers to all these questions form part of the climax.
PERFORMANCE
Allari Naresh gave good performance right from the beginning till the end. In fact, playing such a role is nothing but a cakewalk for him. He showed excellent body language and maintained perfect comedy throughout the film. Kamna Jethmalani is okay in the female lead and exposed heavily during the song sequences. However, she is adequate at times to perform whenever and wherever possible. Kota Srinivasa Rao, Ahuti Prasad, Dharmavarapu Subrahmanyam, Jeeva did justice to their respective roles. Venumadhav, Kondavalasa Lakshmana Rao, Krishna Bhagawan, Srinivasa Reddy tried their best to entertain the audiences.
TECHNICAL:
Dialogues by Prasad Varma are average and funny at times. It appears EVV Satyanarayana too involved in the penning of dialogues, as there are several double meaning dialogues in the first half. Though Mallikarjun made his debut as music director, the re-recording of the film appeared to be excellent. However, he could not dish out foot-tapping tunes and none of them are catchy. But the director ensured that the choreography of songs is good to watch. Adusumilli Vijayakumar who handled the cinematography was perfect in his job as he could capture the mood of the director, while editing by Gauthamraju is adequate. The director lost grip on the screenplay in the second half as a few scenes appeared to have stretched beyond limits. The director spoiled the characterisation of the heroine by showing her as characterless and is romancing with the hero. However, he tried to manage it in the form of revelation of truth by the hero. The director got a good support from the comedy artistes in running the film in an entertaining way.
Remarks:
The film could not be recommended for those who wanted to watch a film with a good story, lots of sentiment, buckets of tears and full action scenes. All those who watch the film for the sake of entertainment without minding how and why the director or hero did a particular act, this is the right film. Director takes many cinematic liberties in running the film. The film would jave a good run in BC Centres.
Movie Released On 10th December, 2010.
