Story
Ram (Nikhil) completes his degree and got a job abroad. He visits Annavaram to fulfil his vow to Lord Satyanarayana Swamy. Vaidehi (Madalsa) runs away from home as her parents fix her marriage with a person who is not known to her and she doesn’t want to share her life with some one who is against her wishes. She forgets her mobile in the autorickshaw and so she writes a letter to her parents that she is planning suicide after fulfilling her vow to Kanakadurga in Vijayawada. Ram and Vaidehi accidentally meet to save a child falling down from a bench in the railway station. Both of them start searching for the mother of the child. Ram is not only searching for the mother of the child but also the girl who wanted to commit suicide as he finds the letter written by Vaidehi. After a few encounters and amidst different dramas that occur on the railway platform, Vaidehi reveals that it was she who wrote the letter. Learning that Vaidehi penned the suicide note, Ram tries in many ways to make her change the decision, but could not succeed in any of his attempts. At this juncture, both of them find the mother of the child who had committed suicide by jumping before the train. In a suicide note, she thanks Ram and Vaidehi for taking care of her child and appeals to them to bring him up safely. Disgusted at the suicide, Ram tells Vaidehi that suicide is a cowardly act and God has given us the life to prove that we could face any challenge and not die as a coward. Finally, the train comes and Vaidehi boards the train, but Ram did not. When asked, Ram tells Vaidehi that he just can’t ignore the boy and fly to the US for his job. Finding how sympathetic Ram is and how much love he could show on an orphan, Vaidehi too alights from the train and tells Ram that she loved him and marry him and they together bring up the child. The film ends on a happy note.
PERFORMANCE:
Nikhil is okay as the male lead and he tried his best to perform within his limitations. However, he still needs to improve his diction, dialogue modulation, body language and acting capabilities. His comedy timing was adequate. Madalsa is okay as the heroine, but looked elder to the hero. The combination of Nikhil and Madalsa did not perfectly match. MS Narayana is adequate as station master, while Raghubabu and company failed to tickle the funny bones of audiences with monotonous performance. Ashok Kumar and Gundu Sudarshan, AVS, Jayaprakash Reddy did justice to their roles and provided enough entertainment. Dharmavarapu Subrahmanyam as a Christian tried to evoke laughter with typical mannerism and dialogues. However, it is in one way, satirical to the Christian pastors and may cause heartburn to the community. Aravind Krishna who made an appearance in a couple of scenes is adequate. As a whole all the comedians in the film did their best to lift the film but all their efforts were proved futile.
TECHNICAL:
Though the film has dialogues from most experienced writers like Paruchuri Brothers, they failed to impress the audiences much. Camera work by Purna Kandru is adequate and the production values of the banner are worthy. Editing by Marthand is okay but not so impressive. Music by Koti is boring and none of the songs are good to listen and the songs in the film helped the audiences to relieve themselves or to have a fag outside. Chandra Mahesh literally failed to narrate the story properly on the screen. The basic point in the film, saving a child on a railway platform was not properly etched. Likewise, the entire film was run with comedy in its backdrop and nothing more to offer. The love between the hero and heroine was not properly established. The narration was not so gripping as the screenplay was loose-knit. Chandra Mahesh adopted old style of narration and that tested the patience of audiences.
ANALYSIS:
Watch the film at your own risk. But for a few comedy scenes the film has nothing to offer. The elderly look of the heroine to a hero like Nikhil turned a big draw back for the film. The commercial success of the film is doubtful.
